About Heidi

A portrait of the photographer, with shoulder-length wavy hair wearing earrings, a pearl necklace, and a dark blouse, sitting on a stool and holding a camera, against a plain light-colored wall.

Photography has always been the way I notice people. How they move, how they hold each other, how a room feels when everyone forgets the camera is there.

I photographed my first wedding in 2017, and it stayed with me. I loved the mix of closeness, movement, style and real emotion. Since then, weddings have become my work and the place where my eye feels most at home.

I live in Cologne, Germany, but my work often takes me through Europe, especially to Destination Weddings in Italy, Spain and France. There’s something about the Mediterranean light and the way people celebrate there that always feels inspiring. I am drawn to days that feel elegant and alive at the same time. Quiet during the ceremony, full of energy on the dance floor, soft in one moment and wild in the next.

My way of working is clear and attentive. I guide when it helps, and I step back when the moment is already there. What matters to me is not a polished version of you, but the truth of how it felt to be there.

 FAQs

  • Popular wedding weekends are often booked 12 to 18 months in advance, so it’s best to reach out as early as possible.
Once we’ve discussed your plans and confirmed the details, a deposit payment is required to secure your date.

  • Travel has always been one of my greatest inspirations.
As a destination wedding photographer, you can book me anywhere in the world. Though most of my work takes place in the Mediterranean countries such as France, Italy and Spain.

  • I usually work alone when photographing weddings.
I prefer to blend in quietly and move among your guests, capturing moments as they naturally unfold.
For larger weddings or venues that cover multiple locations, I sometimes bring a second photographer.
We can discuss this during your planning process to see whether it would be the right fit for your day.

  • I offer full-day wedding photography, starting from eight hours of coverage.
I also love to document the surrounding moments - a welcome party the evening before or a relaxed brunch the day after.
In addition, I create short highlight films designed for social media, giving you a modern, cinematic way to relive your celebration.

  • Many of my images are created in black and white.
There’s a certain depth and honesty that comes through when color steps aside. Emotions feel stronger, expressions become timeless.
I use black and white when it enhances the story, when it allows you to feel rather than just see.

Of course, you’ll also receive images in color. It’s always about balance and about creating a collection that feels true to you.
